Dear Friends,

Let me tell you a fun, real-time story from this past month. My husband has gone to the men’s final four with a group of college friends every year for the last 20+ years. This year, I had 3 different people say to me “I can’t believe he’s in Cleveland, he’s so lucky!” and I got to smile – literally beam with awe - and say “no, he’s at the other final four. In Phoenix.” When “other” starts to apply to the men’s game, you know some
real change is happening.

Some think this year could be the year of the “Girl Dad” (great recap article below). But while we’re LOVING the current momentum, in our opinion
there’s still a lot of work to be done. To that end, we thought it worth highlighting one of the biggest things men, specifically Dads, can do on their end.

It’s actually pretty simple - SAY HER NAME.

Whether that’s your daughter’s name, her mother’s name, or the names of the celebrities, athletes, and businesswomen shaking things up, say her name. Like over and over again. Make sure your daughters know that the names of these women (like their own) can have impact.
And that you’re supporting them.

It’s funny how the same people that say Caitlin Clark and Taylor Swift are ‘over-exposed’ never express that sentiment about male athletes or musicians, right?

Say her name. Show her you’re inspired, not threatened.
Show her you can be powerful, talented, celebrated, and female – and still be liked. Sadly that’s a big departure from what most of these girls see and you can absolutely play a big role in changing that. 💜💙

💜💙
