Dear Friends,

I continue to ride the waive of sentimentality these days. Maybe it’s my age, the kids' latest milestones, or simply that time of year. But it’s remarkable how true that old expression remains “the days can be long, but the years sure do fly by.”

I try to live as much as possible in the present. Of course I reminisce when I look back at old photos of those squishy, delicious faces, in the same way I try to sprinkle in thought-provoking nuggets to get them experiencing and/or exploring certain things in preparation for the future. But for the most part, I recognize I’m
in that exceptionally divine, low stakes / low consequences sweet spot - where they’re out of the toddler stage yet they still want to snuggle and hang out. I know it doesn’t last forever and I plan to enjoy every moment of it while I can.

Lately I’ve been thinking about ways to preserve some of that. Not in an effort to foolishly "bottle it up" (because I also love seeing these kids grow and flourish!) but I do like the idea of
‘capturing’ those moments. Memorializing those feelings, I suppose, so that they can be recalled upon and shared countless times in the future.

There’s also
something cool about marking time creatively, in a passage-of-time / legacy sort of way.

So in the spirit of June and all these culminating events, leading to glorious summer adventures and new beginnings ahead –
we’ve compiled a few different ideas for you and your Daughters below. Take a look, see if anything interests you, and modify as you choose. Or send us some of your own! We’re always open to fresh suggestions and can’t wait to see what you come up with . . .
